In the middle of the moor

To the North of Grassau you can find a very special natural gem: Kendlmühlfilze. It is the largest high moorland in the South-East Bavarian region. Kendlmühlfilze is well worth a visit at any time of year. In particular in early summer, because at this time the cotton grass covers the entire area with its white inflorescence. Later in the year the heather blossoms and the moor is bathed in purple.

Moor adventure path Kendlmühlfilze

The moor adventure path is 800 metres long and leads through the rugged, beautiful and peaceful Kendlmühlfilze. The circular route is partly accessible for the disabled and entices both children and adults to take part in an unforgettable moor adventure.
The beauty of the moor is brought closer with an interesting adventure playground, a picnic station, a path where you can test your balance on trees and a number of information boards on animals, insects and plants living in the moor.
There is a free car park at the starting point, as well as the Museum Salz & Moor and a small café with a public toilet.
